Finn

Finn was so much fun to shoot yesterday as he crawled around the floor laughing as mum and dad watched on.  It was clear to see though that he was the happiest when in between the arms of mum and dad as they sang 'wheels on the bus' to him which allowed me to capture Finn's eyes light up and locked onto every word they were singing to him.

Thank you again to Finn's mum and dad for inviting me in to their home to capture these special moments for them and a huge Happy 1st Birthday to Finn for next week

Erica & Campbell

My last family photoshoot was the big brother welcoming his little sister but yesterday's photoshoot was a big sister giving love and affection to her 4 week old little brother.  2 year old Erica didn't waste time showing me her gorgeous kitten print dress and once I was ready with my camera she was photo ready.  She danced to her favourite songs with mum and while playing musical statues I got to capture her frozen poses but still with that beaming smile of hers.  Her little brother was in a more chilled and relaxed mood, happily lying on the blanket while his sister would take a break from dancing or playing kitchen to give her little brother a kiss or a hug.

Thank you to another family for letting me capture these early moments.

Harry & Eva

I am always so grateful when families welcome me into their home to take special moments and there is nothing more special than the welcoming of a new arrival into the family.  With my new addition to my own family just around the corner, family sessions mean even more to me and I love being able to capture this moment in their lives for them.

This session began by capturing 8 week old baby Eva who is a smily, relaxed little girl and lightens up even more when her 2 year old brother is near by.  It is amazing to see young children interact with each-other so early on in such a loving way especially when it has just been you, mum and dad for so long and then, 'who's this new person?'.  Harry was great, messing around with his toys in the background while his sister was being dressed and having her photographs taken and then allowing me to take images of him in his natural environment with dad near-by watching him on the rocking horse or making sure he is gentle with baby Eva.  A set of gorgeous images have come from this shoot which have been made into a lovely keep-sake box of prints for the family to have.
